I have known very few people in Los Angeles for longer than I have known Ben and Mike. They are some of my dearest friends, and a couple years ago they welcomed a little boy to their lives named Zac. I wanted to make a piece that would honor the brilliance of their lives. Each eagle represents one of them soaring through this life as only they can. The sun is made out of a camera lens to honor Ben's work behind and in front of the camera, and the school buildings with the flags on top are meant to celebrate Mike's work helping revive struggling schools. Mostly, I wanted to create a piece that represents how inspiring and what a light they are to so many of us who have had the pleasure to know them.
