BIO

I was raised in the Ozark Mountains of Missouri where I was homeschooled on a cattle farm. I moved to LA in 1997 to pursue filmmaking. After graduating with honors from the prestigious Art Center College of Design, I began writing for the hit Showtime series The L Word. Soon after that, I joined the international phenomenon, Desperate Housewives. While there, the series was nominated for both Emmy and Golden Globe Awards, and I was nominated for a Writer’s Guild of America Award for my episode, Don’t Look at Me. In 2013 I joined the Freeform series, Chasing Life, as a writer and producer.
In 2014 my debut novel, Daisies, was published by Diversion Books, and I began work as a writer/producer for the hit series Finding Carter. In 2015 I was placed on the Tracking Board’s Young and Hungry List as one of The Top 100 Writer’s Working In Hollywood. In 2016, 2017, and 2018, I wrote pilots for ABC, FOX, and NBC respectively. The Valentine’s Day movie I co-wrote for Freeform, The Thing About Harry, aired in 2020 and was nominated for GLAAD’s Outstanding TV Movie Award in 2021. My second novel, Still The Night Call will be released in late 2021.
